The bit everyone should read

This agreement is between Scott Riley Holdings Pty Ltd, trading as Mangoes Backpacker Hostel & Farmstay (ABN 22 091 463 455), 16 Gordon St, Bowen QLD 4805 — the “Provider” — and you, the “Guest”. It takes effect from the date of your invoice.

1. Accommodation and payment

• You'll be given either a shared or a private bed, as allocated at the time of booking.
• All accommodation fees are payable in advance.
• Ongoing stays are paid weekly in advance, unless we've agreed something different with you in writing.

2. Notice period

• We need a minimum of one week's written notice before you vacate.
• If you don't give notice, any unused portion of pre-paid accommodation is forfeited.

3. House rules

While you're staying with us, you agree to:

• Behave respectfully toward staff and other guests.
• Keep both shared and private areas clean.
• Refrain from illegal activities and disruptive behaviour.
• Observe quiet hours and all other posted hostel policies.

Breach of these rules may result in immediate termination of your stay with no refund. In practice this almost never comes up — most people here are working early starts and want the same quiet house you do.

4. Refunds and cancellations

• No refunds are issued without one week's notice.
• No refunds for missed nights due to late arrival, early departure, or breach of this agreement.

5. Liability

• The Provider is not liable for loss, theft or damage to your belongings.
• Lockers may be provided; securing your own items is your responsibility.

6. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Acceptance of terms

Payment of your invoice constitutes full acceptance of the terms and conditions set out above.
